GOD versus RELIGION

Most religions on earth claim to explain what is God and bind their followers to a set of rules, rituals, identities, 'do's', 'don'ts', etc. These religions neither prove nor disprove existence of God. Many a time, religions use desires of people for worldly gains and fear against losses, to drive people into religious-fold. Summarily, religions have been largely used by smart people for political, business and/or popularity gains. Religiosity has virtually divided mankind in the name of God for worldly gains. No religion can unequivocally claim to bring its followers face-to-face with God. Among ancient scriptures, cosmic form of God was seen by Arjuna face-to-face and described in fair detail in Bhagwad Gita. In the discussion that follows in this scripture, even God advises Arjuna to renounce all religions/dharmas and conscientiously do his duty and dedicate it to God and named this philosophy of 'work is worship' as karam yog. This derives that even before Krishna's times (more than 5000 years ago), religions had become an obstacle in performing the right duty of bringing peace, prosperity and justice in society. Gita explains 'God is universe and universe is God' and all living or non-living identities are part and parcel of ONE greatest Indentity called Virat God. This knowledge is understood better by science than religions. Scientists appreciate this better as they perceive elementary particles going in circles all the time to maintain the atomic structure and taming of matter-energy interactions; atoms sharing electrons to become stronger by becoming molecules and macromolecules; molecules doing disciplined work to sustain living entities; cell organelles working hard to sustain cellular life; cells join in team-work to form tissues and organs; and finally organs working hard with discipline to make a healthy plant, animal and man. The problem arises when man has to perform disciplined duty towards peace, prosperity and justice of earthlings. Unfortunately, religions have taken over God without any justification. It is time to think wisely and resist division of mankind in the name of multiplicity of religions and unite in the glory of ONE GOD.

O MAN, SEEK TRUTH!

Philosophy of 'seeking Truth' is a unique gift to man - all other living-forms have to evolve into man to deserve this.

Evolution is driven by the seekers of happiness. Seekers of Truth say NO to evolution and surrender to Truth - the real short-cut to Eternal Bliss.

Becoming one's own observer is the greatest wisdom.

Wielding of ego is the greatest comedy of existence.

Creation is an illusion as God Himself is the Centre of all varieties of beings and things. Search Him within.

INSTINCTS and WISDOM

Instincts are evolutionary remains that all living beings - including humans - follow for safety and survival.

Wisdom is derived from impartial observations of actions of self and others in interactive environment.

Man has been the sole contributory to development of a good and comfortable quality of life on earth, other living-beings may too have benefited from human wisdom.

At the same time, man has not been able overcome selfish instincts despite his wonderful wisdom. This has put man versus man - a dangerous scenario on earth.

A body like United Nations may form a unit for deep study of human behavior and find ways to tide over instinctive selfishness - maybe, there is gene behind it. Tackling this malaise systematically, may make this world HAPPY for all one day.

WE ARE ETERNAL

You and Me have always existed and there shall never be a time that we cease to exist; despair not! This is the assurance from God, describing Himself in first person in Srimad Bhagwad Gita. This enunciates a universal 'law of conservation' arising from our true existence.

We may appear to exist in different apparent forms for different apparent purposes at different phases of time and space only, to perform a prescribed duty as per will of God. An analogy is different duties/jobs performed by different forms of my cells - nerve, heart, skin, kidney, etc are all a service to my whole body which, now represents me and yet, eternally represents Me.

The only way to cut out the illusion/maya separating He, You and Me is to keep uttering in mind all the time 'He and me are ONE eternal Truth' explains God to a devotee which, in His OWN words is the greatest mantra "OM Tat Sat"!

Whether this universe exists in present expanded version or contracts into a smallest speck ('God particle'), it does not really matter. Like, computor game of a child is solely for his entertainment - creation(birth), maintenace(life) and destruction(death) cannot end our eternal reality. Broaden the chest by taking long breath telling the mind "Om tat Sat" and relax letting out the breath for ease thanking God to have given us a chance to entertain Him. God has only one job:  keep His word and play with us again and again.

HOW GOD PROTECTS?

'My true devotee shall not perish' declares God in Srimad Bhagwad Gita. In the great war of Maha Bhartha, only five Pandavs - Yudhishtar, Bheem, Arjun, Nakul and Sehdev - survived because, they remained attached to Truth, through thick and thin of life.

Prior to Maha Bharatha times, another great devotee of God too, miraculously survived innumerable attempts on his life made with weapons, snakes, immersion in water, magic spells, burning in fire, etc. Posterity immortalized this devotee's survival by celebrating the festival of colours - Holi - eversince, for over 5000 years. Devotee Prhalaad's love for Lord Vishnu made him indestructible then and gave him permanence in highest admiration of this world - for all times. Bhakt Prahlaad loved Lord Vishnu from core of his heart and always remembered Him as 'ONE in all and ALL-in-one' or 'God is present in everything and everything is present in God' by constantly repeating in his mind the mantra "Omn namho Bhagwateh Vaasudevaai". HAPPY HOLI!

SMART PSYCHE

The day all our dreams are fulfilled, we evolve into a higher stage of existence with a brand-new set of dreams.

Arrogance plays, when one fails to see one's own-self in the person(s) in front.

It is extremely difficult to tread the right path as, it cuts the way of enumerable wrong-doers.

It is safer to temporarily retract one's wonderful smile if its makes one's peers jealously wonder the reason d'etre, in the best interest of peace in one's circle ('Run-chhor' or exit of battle-field - a strategy taught by Lord Krishna).

If one becomes a selfless warrior for Truth, all problems simply touch and leave. 'My devotee shall not perish' declares God in Gita.

Action/prayer/yajna for welfare of all is a godly act; for own welfare without harming others is humanly; but, harming others is demonic.

Ignorance of eternal Bliss may give rise to infinite possibilities of being happy, happier and happiest - all an illusion of mind or maya.

We eventually tend to become what we admire; real smartness thus lies in admiring perfection/God (derives Gita).

Our selfishness is the only shadow on our enlightenment. Just cut it and realize Truth.

The moment one becomes a detached observer of one's instinctive desires, true wisdom prevails (derives Gita).

Easiest way to surrender one's ego is to fall in love with Perfection/God by directed practice in thought, word and action - recommends Gita.

All creations in this universe are actually searching for their Creator in wild chase of happiness and, eventually vanish into Him upon encounter - Bliss (derives Gita).
